Maison du Grain

Maison du Grain began sourcing from Vinca Jatirasa while searching for Indonesian coffees with a more polished profile. They selected semi washed lots for their balance between body and clarity. This approach aligns with their refined style.

The farm uses Typica and Kartika varieties grown at mid elevations. Cherries are depulped and undergo a short fermentation phase before partial drying. The parchment is removed while moisture content remains relatively high.

Drying continues after hulling until the beans reach optimal stability. This method is carefully controlled to avoid inconsistency. The result is a cleaner interpretation of traditional Indonesian processing.

In the cup, these coffees present a smooth body with mild earthiness and soft sweetness. Notes of cocoa and gentle spice emerge with a balanced finish. The profile remains approachable yet distinctive.
